Women in the United States during the 19th century organized and participated in a great variety of reform movements to improve education, to initiate prison reform, to ban alcoholic drinks, and, during the pre-Civil War period, to free the slaves.
At a time when it was not considered respectable for women to speak before mixed audiences of men and women. Now women are part of many kind of reform movements, about them and their problems and rights or other social problems they are concerned about.
In my opinion women are always being capable of change injustices and promote good causes; i think that everyone should be allowed to raise their voice about matters of life which they aren´t agree with
ResponderEliminarI agree with you because as you say, everybody is allowed to express their ideas and feeling and i think that all this movements were result of women who got tired of the discrimination that they were suffering.
